Post Visit to Dago Kokore 30 September
Today I visited Dago Kokore....

Everyone was very pleased to see me, and all of the children turned out in the assembly area under the trees to sing songs for me. That is so moving!

They tell me that some of the "sponsored" children are still receiving letters from outside Kenya, and that it makes a big difference to know that they are being remembered.

After 3 years of sponsoring the children, will they still be at the same school or do they move? Will letters and cards sent to Dago Kokore still reach them?

We paid for the children to go through their three years of infant education. The government doens't fund that.

All of the children (well, most) will have moved up to the primary school, and the government does pay for that up until 15/16 years of age. Tracking them all and their performance would be a bit of a task though, and that's outside the scope of what I can do, or have time to do.

Letters sent to Dago Kokore Primary School will still get to them.
